Compositions

Musical People is a newly composed cycle of 5 songs for Primary School children. It is part of an outreach programme in Oxford schools, working with 300 children. The songs have an emphasis on fun, and are accompanied with an editable workbook that encourages musical as well as personal and social development.

I have the good fortune to work in a school that produces shows at the Oxford Playhouse and their excellent team each year. In 2022 and 2023, Alex Thomas and I cowrote Leave it to Puck! and The Hobbit respectively for performance.

Everybody loves the festive period! For some people, it is the only time of the year that they engage in choral music at church, and so I am composing a new song every year, based on the text provided by the BBC Carol Competition (my hope is that it will someday be published!)

I am a huge fan of Jacob Collier and aspire to master his harmonic language (and, to some extent, his video artistry!) Under the silly pseudonym 'MyoosikMann', I arrange popular songs in new styles for the pure fun of it.
